Who am I?

As a Cuban-born immigrant, my parents taught me the meaning of hard work and sacrifice. Growing up in the United States was not easy and because of personal life experiences, I decided to become a counselor and help others that have been through the same or similar experiences.
I have an Associates Degree in Psychology, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and a Master’s degree in Science with a concentration in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the State of Florida. I am CORE Trained in Domestic Violence by The Florida Coalition Against Domestic Violence through The Harbor House of Central FL. I am trained in Mental Health First Aid for Youth (teens) through Aspire Health Partners, and I am trained as a Group Crisis Intervention Team Member by the International Crisis Intervention Stress Foundation.

Due to my training, I am able to treat/help clients with a vast array of mental health disorders such as anxiety (GAD), depression (MDD), anger issues, OCD, PTSD, binge eating disorder, survivors of domestic abuse/violence, sexual trauma, and individuals with comorbid disorders. I also help clients increase their self-esteem, self-confidence, and assertiveness.

I love empowering clients to live their best life. I don't just treat the diagnosis but I treat and work with my client. I will work with you, to further strengthen you, to help you heal and/or to help you get to where you want to be. I love what I do and I can't wait to work with you!
We are not determined by our experiences but by the meaning we give to them
